FALL TABLESCAPES WITH THE PERFECT TABLE FAVORS YOUR GUESTS WILL LOVE!

Do you love to entertain? Do dinner parties get you excited? Well, then you're in the right place!
One of my favorite things about hosting guests is getting to decorate! I love creating a beautiful space to make friends and family feel special. With October here and the weather getting crisper with each day, I thought I would share tips and ideas for an autumnal themed tablescape. This year I brought in some help from my friend at laceybreanneinterirors to help style – keep reading b/c you are in for a treat.
The perfect tablescape in 3 easy steps.
1. DECIDE ON YOUR VIBE
Before every event I host I love getting ideas on Pinterest. I also love getting inspiration from Home Stagers and Designers too, that is where Lacey comes in! Before starting down my decorating adventures I like to narrow down the tone I went to set for my guests. Fancy and sophisticated or downhome delightful. This choice will determine whether I use cloth or decorative paper napkins, china or everyday dishes, wine glasses or mason jars, you get the idea!
Gather your supplies Once you’ve decided the vibe you're going for, you're ready to gather your supplies and get started!
2. START STYLING
Lacey Dyer with Laceybreanne interirors created this table scape for me with
many items I had around the house, but accentuated it with the
unexpected.
The Recipe:
Charger – this is your base creating depth and interest
Cutting Board – a fun unexpected extra – perfect especially if your appetizer is a charcuterie board – this is a fun way to play off of the theme!
Dinner plate- You can use fancy, seasonal or whatever you prefer. For this styling we chose a more elegant gold rimmed dinner plate, a fun juxtaposition on the more casual cutting board. Personal Tip: I love mixing the fancy with the everyday – this is how I live my life and my guests know that about me. I topped off the place settings with a table favor for each guest. Our Fall Small Talk Squares and Petite Hanging Accents are a few of my favorite things to use for table favors.
The next step is choosing flatware that complements your plates. Gold, copper, or black flatware are some fun and popular options right now. Silver is what we had on hand so that is what we used, I love how Lacey placed the silverware at an angle around the main settings. Such a creative idea!
Finish your setting off with the drinking glass of your choice. Lacey chose this copper mug which screams all things Fall. Adding a fun drink with blackberries skewered on top of the mug with sprinkles of mint in your favorite cocktail is a fabulous way to add that extra special something for your guests.
Now on to the Centerpiece! They add so much beauty and interest, and they can be simple or more complex, depending on the look you're going for. Lacey always recommends low sitting centerpieces so they don’t obstruct views of guests conversing. Fall foliage found in my garden + faux pumpkins of all colors and textures creates a stunning look for every Fall tablescape. Keep layering until you create the desired look.
The last step…
