YOUR GUIDE TO THE PERFECT EASTER TABLESCAPE
Gabrielle Grooters on Mar 24th 2022
Are you hosting Easter Brunch, Lunch or Dinner this year? Does creating a beautiful Easter tablescape get you excited? Then you're in the right place!
One of my favorite things about hosting Easter brunch is spoiling my guests with sweet gifts and of course bringing out my fine china and love for all things Decor! I love creating a beautiful space to make friends and family feel special. Today we wanted to take a moment to share some Easter and spring Tablescapes to inspire your Spring dining experiences.
The perfect Easter tablescape can be achieved in 4 easy steps, feel free to use the TIPS acronym to help, and if you'd like to watch our full Video - Just CLICK HERE!
T = Theme (choose your theme)
I = Inspiration (find inspiration from Pinterest, magazines, Instagram, etc.)
P = Purchase and Gather your supplies
S = Start Styling.
THEME: The theme we have honed in on is Easter Pastels and all the Spring Vibes.
INSPIRATION: Before every event I host I love getting ideas on Pinterest. First, I start by narrowing down the tone I went to set for my guests. Fancy and sophisticated or downhome delightful. This choice will determine whether I use cloth or decorative paper napkins, china or everyday dishes, wine glasses or mason jars, you get the idea!
PURCHASE AND GATHER YOUR SUPPLIES: Once you’ve decided the vibe you're going for, you're ready to gather your supplies and get started! I like to collect all of the items I have around the house first, then I take inventory and determine what I need to purchase. For this tablescape I wanted to purchase the “Green grass” table runner because I’ve seen that displayed in several of my inspiration boards and wanted to try it myself. I love placemats so I also purchased the round rustic jute placemats as well and a few pastel Easter eggs to complete the look. I always purchase my Table Favors from Simply Said because they always have something for every season AND their quotes always speak volumes and offer such a special treat for my guests.
STYLE:
Here comes the fun part – Styling the
tablescape. I like to set one place setting
and the main centerpieces up a week before the event so I ensure I have everything
I need and its style to my vision.
STYLING TIPS:
Layers: Layering with table cloths + placemats + chargers add dimension and sophistication to elegant and more rustic settings.
Dinner plate - You can use fancy, seasonal or whatever you prefer. For this styling we are sharing 2 options (elegant and casual).
On the elegant table setting I chose my grandmother’s china that
we only bring out for special occasions.
You’ll see I layered the white tablecloth + white round placemat + Charger
+ dinner plate + Salad plate. When I
told you, I love layers I wasn’t joking :)
On the casual setting you’ll notice similar layers but with different style and color.
The next step is choosing flatware that complements your plates. Gold, copper, or black flatware are some fun and popular options right now. Gold is what we had on hand so that is what we used. Placing the silverware at an angle around the main settings is a fun way to add a little creativity.
TABLE FAVORS:
I topped off the place settings with a table favor for each guest. I love spoiling my guests with special favors, it makes everyone feel special and know they are loved.
Our Small Talk Squares, Talking Sticks, Coasters, and Petite Hanging Accents are a few of my favorite things to use for table favors. Here is a link to our Easter Décor that may spark inspiration as well.
CENTERPIECE: Now on to the Centerpiece! Centerpieces are the main event for your table and can create so much beauty and interest, from simple to complex, depending on the look you're going for. I prefer low sitting centerpieces so they don’t obstruct views of guests conversing. Spring foliage found in my garden + faux sprigs and textures creates a stunning look for this Spring tablescape. Keep layering until you create the desired look.
